Survival Offshore
Systems has a purpose built life raft servicing facility. The
building is fully insulated, with a special floor finish. A 3 tonne
overhead crane and 4000 litre water storage with pump in / pump out
control and calibrated flow meter enables static load testing of
davit launched life rafts. Service and testing of lifeboat anti
entrapment kits and fast rescue craft self righting kits is also
carried out in this section. A hydrostatic test station has
also been installed to test H.P. Storage cylinders to 150 litre
capacity. | We have certification for servicing
Coastal, Solas and recreational life rafts. Our facility has had to meet
the highest standards to gain accreditation, to ensure that your survival
equipment is serviced to the highest of safety
standards. We service the following categories:

fishing and charter boat life raft sales and service. We supply USL
approved life jackets, life buoys, lights, EPIRBS, hydrostatic release
units, Pains Wessex distress signals, and most other survey items. We also
offer a Talurit swaging service for up to 9 mm wire. Hydrostatic testing

arranged. Solas - Survey items required for Solas survey including Solas

STATIC and DYNAMIC
TESTING for LIFEBOATS & DAVITS |
| IMO
regulations now stipulate that a 5 year dynamic load test and on
load release test be performed on lifeboats and the associated
davits. Survival Offshore Systems has the equipment to test up to
150 person lifeboats. We issue test certificates for ship and class
society records. It is recommended that the davit brakes, lifeboat
hooks and release mechanisms are serviced just prior to
testing. |
