The following shall be the objectives of hosting this web site:
  
 
 
 
To enhance technical knowledge of personnel in the shipping industry by encouraging collaboration between manufacturers and customers
  
 
 
 

To set-up a knowledge bank by creating a common platform for maritime teachers and trainers

  
 
 
 
To facilitate free career and any other counselling for students in the maritime industry
  
 
 
 
To initiate and maintain an educational and development fund*
  
Note:
The owner of this web domain and space shall reserve the right to permit or refuse display / publication of any information that may be deemed inappropriate or unethical or contravene legal aspects. Also, negative campaigning is not permitted.
  
 
* Highlights of the fund:
  

All transactions shall be only through secure transfer systems.

  
 
 
Any payments made or received shall be through demand drafts, A/c Payee (crossed cheques) or similar means; there will be no cash transaction as such.
 
     
  Transparency (in an auditable accounting system) shall be maintained at all times and accounts will be available for perusal by all concerned.  
The revenue received shall be divided into three as follows:
  
 
 

50% of the revenue earned (from advertisements and similar issues), shall be allocated for education of children in dire need (in India). Receipts of this expenditure (e.g., school fees, and uniforms) shall be made in the name of and sent to the sponsor / organisation utilising this web domain for related commercial purposes. In addition, details of education and progress of the child being sponsored shall be communicated to the sponsor, if so required.

  
 
 

30% shall be allocated for the acquisition of additional web hosting space, internet connectivity and such issues like site maintenance and other such requirements. In the event of any amount from this component being surplus, it shall be utilised for development of new projects, support for educationists working on subject-specific projects, which will eventually lead to publication on this website, etc.

 
 
 
20% shall be allocated for extraneous expenditure and service charges.
